The preeminent pipa virtuoso brings ancient Chinese tradition to today's global stage. Wu Man shares this bespoke program while in residence as a principal collaborator of Kronos Quartet. 

Experience the artistry of the world's foremost player of the pipa in a solo setting. Wu Man is a composer, educator and virtuosic performer of the traditional Chinese lute with equal respect for preservation and innovation.

A champion of new music and cross-cultural collaboration, she has premiered hundreds of new works for her instrument in settings from solo recitals to collaborations with the New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Yo-Yo Ma, Kronos Quartet and Silkroad Ensemble.

Wu Man's repertoire, heard in the world's foremost venues and on Grammy Award-winning recordings, spans traditional Chinese music, cross-cultural fusion and contemporary works by today's leading composers.

Wu Man's work will be featured as part of Three Bones, and this performance offers a rare opportunity to experience her emotive mastery in a solo setting.
